Biography

This is a website written by Conor Joyce

I was born in Dublin in 1958 and was brought up in Mallow, Co. Cork. I worked in London from 1986-1998 as a financial journalist and art critic, then spent a year in Berlin doing historical research resulting in a book entitled 'Carl Einstein in Documents'.

I studied at the Universities of Dublin, Oxford and Paris and, more recently, Essex.

I've been living in Dublin for the last five years, working recently as a press officer in politics, at the National Forum on Europe. But I've recently returned to London.

My other initial categories besides Art, Business & Finance and Politics: Comparative themes, day-to-day life events, Literature, Online communication and Philosophy. Why these categories?

At the Forum on Europe, I ran the website. I studied philosophy, and still read it, and also studied literature. I want to write beyond philosophy - a Western thing - moving into something broader, of a more comparative kind. I am short of comparative tools, though.
